The 2011 Arkansas Medical Society Annual Meeting was this past weekend.  Each year two awards are given:  the Asklepion Award and the Shuffield Award. The Asklepion Award is presented to an AMS member physician who promotes the art and science of medicine and the betterment of public health; embodies the values of the medical profession through leadership, service, excellence, integrity and ethical behavior; and enriches patients, colleagues and the community through dedicated medical practice. This year’s recipient of the Asklepion Award is Morriss M.
